Scope of Grant Writing Services

Research Prospective Funders

We conduct comprehensive searches to identify potential funding sources whose interests match your organization’s mission and programs.  This search includes private and community foundations; corporate giving programs; and State and Federal grant programs.  We compile vital information on prospective funders and recommend the best way to approach them.

Compose Letters of Inquiry

We create letters of inquiry to selected funders that introduce your organization, its mission and programs.  The purpose is to create a persuasive and articulate letter that conveys your enthusiasm and passion for the program.  The intent of a query letter is to receive guidelines and an invitation to submit a grant proposal.

Write Grant Proposals

We will prepare a boilerplate “case statement” that describes your organization and the various programs that need funding.  Drawing on the case statement – the structure and components of a grant proposal will be customized in strict compliance with the funder’s guidelines.  We will write with a positive and compelling voice, showing your organization’s understanding of the problem and your ability to solve or address the problem.  With clarity, simplicity and brevity, we will submit a proposal that builds a case for support of your organization and programs.

Review and Edit Proposals

If your organization prepares its own proposals but you would like to have a second opinion (perhaps previous proposals have been denied) we can review, edit, and make recommendations.

Grant Consulting

If your organization is unfamiliar with the grant writing process, or has not experienced success in this arena, we can provide initial or on-going support to walk you through the process and help address your questions and challenges as they arise. We can help assess your readiness to start grant-seeking and/or assist you in developing the groundwork for the grant writing process.
